Takemichi Hanagaki is a young man who finds himself at the lowest point of his life, experiencing feelings of frustration and hopelessness. As a freelancing worker, he often struggles to find stability and purpose, making his daily existence feel bleak. His personal life, however, takes a tragic turn when he learns about the death of his former girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana, who was killed by members of the notorious Tokyo Manji Gang.

This devastating news leaves Takemichi devastated and overwhelmed with grief. One fateful day, while standing on a train station platform, he is pushed onto the tracks by a rushing crowd. Believing this might be the end for him, he closes his eyes, expecting to be struck down. However, instead of dying, Takemichi suddenly finds himself transported twelve years into the past, back to the days when he was still in high school.
