Seraph of the End

In 2012, the world faced a catastrophic event believed to be caused by a human-made virus that wiped out most of the population. The virus spread rapidly, leaving behind a devastated world where only children appeared to have survived unscathed. This unprecedented disaster marked the beginning of a new, grim era for humanity. As chaos reigned, the emergence of supernatural beings added a layer of terror and mystery to the unfolding tragedy.

Amidst the chaos, vampires rose from the depths of the earth, shedding centuries of myth and legend to reveal their true, formidable nature. These creatures of the night swiftly descended upon the Earth, seizing control with brutal efficiency. Their domination was swift and ruthless, as they overpowered human resistance and claimed the ruins of civilization. Humanity was pushed underground, into the shadows, as vampires established their dark empire on the surface.

The vampires’ rule came at a terrible price for humans. The remnants of humanity were forced into slavery or captivity, with their blood forcibly harvested to sustain their oppressors. This cruel control was maintained through a cruel barter—humans, especially children, were sacrificed, providing fresh blood for their vampire captors. Among these children was a young boy named Yūichirō, whose life was forever changed by the brutal events at the Hyakuya Orphanage.

Yūichirō was just twelve years old when he and his friends devised a daring plan to escape their vampire captors. Alongside Mikaela, a close companion and fellow orphan, they envisioned freedom beyond their dark confines. Their escape attempt, however, ended in tragedy, as the vampires slaughtered many of the children, including Mikaela. In a selfless act, Mikaela sacrificed himself to ensure Yūichirō's escape, an act of profound loyalty that fueled Yūichirō’s resolve.

Following this harrowing event, Yūichirō was rescued by members of the Moon Demon Company, a specialized extermination unit within the Japanese Imperial Demon Army. Over the next four years, his life was dedicated to one singular purpose: to eradicate vampires and find justice for his fallen friends and family. Driven by a desire for vengeance, Yūichirō trained intensively and grew into a formidable soldier, determined to confront the dark forces that had destroyed his world and to ensure that others would not suffer the same fate. The story of "Seraph of the End" is one of resilience, revenge, and the ongoing battle between humans and the dark creatures that threaten their existence.
